Because the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kovifabrics.com\/blog\/how-to-measure-wingback-chairs\/\">chairs<\/a> differ in the way they\u2019re upholstered, be careful to watch how it is done when you take them apart.<\/p>\n<p>A few chairs might have an upholstered seat inside a frame, whereas others may be upholstered right over their frame. Depending upon how the chair was assembled to start with, you might have the ability to carefully trim the adhesive surrounding the seat and then take it off. It might need to be pried in some sort of way. After you take it off, clean the frame up that it either sits in or on. If there\u2019s glue on the frame, softly sand it off.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Remove the cushion and fabric from the seat\u2019s base. If the base is in good condition, it\u2019s possible to reuse it. If it is not, you may use it as a template in order to trim a fresh piece of wood. Thin plywood is going to work fine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Trim a piece of the fabric three inches larger than the chair\u2019s seat. Trim a foam piece just a tad larger than the chair\u2019s base. Place a bit of glue on the foam piece, then stick it to the base.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Put the fabric piece over the foam, then turn it upside down. Place a bit of glue on the outside corner (around an inch in) of its base. Pull a side of the fabric over, then staple it into place. Then, pull the additional side so it\u2019s tight, then staple. Next, repeat halfway between every one of the staples. You can work around the whole seat, pulling the seat tight, and then stapling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Place a bead of wood glue around the seat\u2019s frame, then set the freshly upholstered seat inside the frame.
