If they\u2019re in style, what kind, style, or fabric should they be? And \u2014 the ever-intimidating question<\/em> \u2014 what length should they be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like so many things in interior design, the answers are much less complicated than you might think. Or, at the very least, they\u2019re more accessible than you might think. For starters, yes, they\u2019re in style. Also, no, they\u2019re out of style. Depending on your style.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll scroll through the lot of them, from understanding how and where to use curtains (turns out they\u2019re super<\/em> useful), to what look is right for you (turns out that\u2019s all about, ya know, what\u2019s right for you<\/em>), and a brief bit on how to DIY them (turns out you can totally<\/em> DIY it). All you need to know about curtains trends, tips, and how-tos await. Let\u2019s begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtains Are The Secret Sauce Of Design Style \u2014 And Function<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s clear up that muddy \u201cyes and<\/em> no\u201d answer to the question of whether or not curtains are in style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve likely noticed that for some time now, interior design has been trending minimalist. If your particular home or office style is modern and minimalist to the point of reveling in a nearly spartan vibe, you might be better off with blinds or other shades rather than curtains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtains can serve as the icing on the proverbial design cake. Take a small space and help it feel finished<\/strong> but bigger with sheer<\/a> fabric curtains in an airy neutral tone, like natural beige<\/a>.
