Ottoman Made From Scratch

This ottoman DIY project is from the blog Do It Yourself Divas. They offer a full tutorial.

The crafters made the whole ottoman DIY, including the base. The easiest part is the top of the ottoman, which is fabric wrapped and stapled around a cushion that was placed on a board to give it a base. They made the wooden box base out of pieces of wood. The top of the ottoman comes off for extra storage. A wooden frame under the top piece keeps the lid from sliding around.

Depending on how DIY you’re feeling, you may just want to copy the fabric they used for this project. It’s a classy, neutral foliage pattern that goes with anything. You can see some similar fabrics below that match the brown and tan foliage pattern from the project. You can also see all our foliage fabrics here.
